Sliders meets Millennium

Millennium fan music video number forty-seven. I was inspired by all the great mashup videos I've seen on YouTube, where vidders take music from a TV show and put it against another show and mimic the style of the original show.

I had great fun with this one, it took me some time gathering all those little bits here and there. I used the theme intro from season two of Sliders, and a few snippets from that as well. I generally followed the editing style of that one but strayed a little bit from it here and there. The biggest challenge was to decide what characters to use as substitutes for the Sliders characters. And to find the most outrageous shots to match the parallel worlds on the Sliders show.

Footage is taken from various episodes from all three seasons of Millennium plus the vortex shots from Sliders. The track is the theme song for the TV series Sliders (taken from season two) by Anthony Marinelli & Stephen Graziano. Enjoy!

No Easy Exegesis for The Innocents

Millennium fan music video number forty-four. I did this video to kick-start the new year with all the nice people over at the The Millennium Group Facebook page.

I had this idea to combine what Peter Watts said about people who could see different paths and the viewers in the first two episodes of Season 3. I put that down, and I found this track that Mark had suggested for Luminary way back in the fall of 2009. And the beginning fit well with that über-vision, I was sure I could work with the rest and place dialog in the instrumental bits of the track.

All the footage is taken from The Innocents and Exegesis, episode one and two from season three of Millennium. The track is called Easy Ride by Madonna. Enjoy!

Far Above Borrowed Time

Millennium fan music video number forty-three.

I recently saw a montage video from Borrowed Time by teedub (Terri Wilson) over at the TIWWA forums.

I was inspired and decided to listen to some music I thought would work with the episode. I gathered all the shots, pretty much the whole episode, I thought were montage worthy.

I had one version where it was much more like a recap than anything. So, I cut out some scenes and focused on Frank/Jordan and Samiel/girl on train. I think it was the right choice. I know, it's a bit strange by the end, but it works in a strange way, I hope.

All the footage is taken from Borrowed Time, episode ten from season three of Millennium. The track is called Far Above the Clouds by Mike Oldfield. Enjoy!

MacGyver & Millennium

Millennium fan music video number thirty-nine. I was inspired by all the great mashup videos I've seen on YouTube, where vidders take music from a TV show and put it against another show and mimic the style of the original show.

I had great fun with this one, it took me some time gathering all those little bits here and there. I wanted to focus on season one and two of Millennium with a few shots from season three. I used the season one version of the MacGyver theme song but used the cut template from the second season when Dana Elcar started getting main title credit. It might be a frame off here and there but it's supposed to be cut at the same time as the season two opening titles of MacGyver.

I did alter some shots, either sped up or slowed down a few shots. And I changed the color in a few shots either to darken or lighten the picture.

Footage is taken from various episodes from all three seasons of Millennium. The track is the theme song for the TV series MacGyver (taken from season one) by Randy Edelman. Enjoy!

And that video did give me that push. It took some time to find all the visions and know which ones to use and where to put them.

Rip Thy Kingdom

Millennium fan music video number thirty-one. This is the last video I made for backtofrankblack.com, however I did share a few videos which I did for millennium-thisiswhoweare.net.

It was a fun ride making videos for backtofrankblack when it was in full blossom. It was exhausting but rewarding, the challenge of doing a video a week. Sometimes I was ahead and sometimes I fell behind but I always delivered (except when I went to the Flashback Weekend horror convention in Chicago). I just wanted to see if I could do a music video and then it was just to see how many videos could I make before I hit the music wall. I never did it for the recognition, I did it for the enjoyment of others (but positive feedback was always appreciated) plus I wanted to encourage people to let them be heard.

There was a time when BTFB was flying to the moon, not because it's easy but because it's hard. Now with staff changes, it's flying to the sun and they've burned all bridges. I do appreciate getting these gold nuggets on those Millennium Group Sessions podcasts from the cast and crew of Millennium, but it's hard to support them when you know they act like 8 years old behind people's back. I could say some foul things about the guys running the site now, but I won't. Because I'm not in the hurting game. I really should have listened to the wisdom of The X-Files to trust no one and that the truth is out there.

Millennium fan music video number thirty. Here's a promo I did for Morgan & Wong week over at backtofrankblack.com. I'm very proud of what I managed to do with what was supposed to be only a 30 seconds long. But I soon realized that was very hard to do, plus I wanted it to be somewhat epic, so I opted to focus on the comet which was one of Morgan & Wong's creation throughout the second season.
